AVERY'S #WHYSWEETHEARTS
I chose Aggie Sweethearts because I just knew this was the only organization for me. Funny story, I applied for Aggie Sweethearts my freshman year in 2019, and made it to the interview round, where I was then cut. I was so heartbroken over this because through the process I had already fallen in love with the organization and what it stood for, so I didn’t let that stop me from applying for it sophomore year. The girls I met through recruitment in the fall of 2019 and spring of 2021 are the reason I chose Sweethearts. I had never met a group of women who supported each other so much. It is something you can clearly see from the outside, but once you’re a part of it, it’s something you can’t even begin to explain. I have never had so many girls I could turn to for guidance on anything going on in my life. Whether it was boy advice, school advice, or just a shoulder to cry on, you had a group of more than 80 girls to turn to.
Sweethearts gave me a purpose at Texas A&M and shaped me into the woman that I am today, and I would be nothing without this organization. I laughed when girls would say they found their bridesmaids in Sweethearts, but here I am two years later with the best girlfriends I could ever ask for. You are never alone when you are an Aggie Sweetheart, and that is why I love this organization so much. Every girl is unique, and every relationship is genuine.
